10-Oxo-delta-6a-tetrahydrocannabinol

10-Oxo-delta-6a-tetrahydrocannabinol (OTHC) belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 2,2-dimethyl-1-benzopyrans. These are organic compounds containing a 1-benzopyran moiety that carries two methyl groups at the 2-position. 10-Oxo-delta-6a-tetrahydrocannabinol is the oxidized derivative of delta-6a-tetrahydrocannabinol, carrying a ketone group at position 10. Very little information regarding its biological activities is available in the scientific literature. 10-Oxo-delta-6a-tetrahydrocannabinol is one of more than 120 cannabinoid compounds that are known to occur in cannabis plants (PMID: 6991645).
