2-Methylbutyryl-CoA, also known as 2-methylbutanoyl-CoA, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as acyl coas. These are organic compounds containing a coenzyme A substructure linked to an acyl chain. 2-Methylbutyryl-CoA is a strong basic compound (based on its pKa). 2-Methylbutyryl-CoA is expected to be in Cannabis as all living plants are known to produce and metabolize it.
