MOLECULE

9-Oxononanoic acid

9-oxononanoic acid, also known as 8-formyloctanoic acid or 9-ketononanoate, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as medium-chain fatty acids. These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains between 4 and 12 carbon atoms. 9-oxononanoic acid is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. 9-Oxononanoic acid is expected to be in Cannabis as all living plants are known to produce and metabolize it.
