MOLECULE

Apigenin 7-o-glucoside

Apigenin 7-o-glucoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Thus, apigenin 7-O-glucoside is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Apigenin 7-o-glucoside is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. Apigenin 7-o-glucoside is one of the major flavonoid glycosides present in low-THC Cannabis cultivars. (PMID: 6991645)
