Cycloartenol

Cycloartenol, also known as artosenol or handianol, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cycloartanols and derivatives. These are steroids containing a cycloartanol moiety. Cycloartenol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Cycloartenol is expected to be in Cannabis as all living plants are known to produce and metabolize it.
