MOLECULE
Lanosterol
Lanosterin, also known as botalan base 138 or lanosterol, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. Thus, lanosterin is considered to be a sterol lipid molecule. Lanosterin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. Lanosterol is expected to be in Cannabis as all living plants are known to produce and metabolize it.
